One way to combat mosquitoes (and therefore prevent malaria) is to spray the walls of your house with insecticide. The idea is that the mosquitoes rest on the walls, pick up the poison and....die! Add this to other preventative measures (staying indoors when the anopheles are biting (10pm-4am), sleeping under a bednet, taking medication, seeking treatment, eliminating breeding areas) and voila, a malaria-free Zambia!
